Something in the back of my mind kept telling me that it is safe to buy and keep the disk if I need to install it into another computer, should I decide to upgrade my laptop in the next few years. Being the old school guy I am, I decided to buy the PC Disk version. Once I saw the price drop to 69.99 I decided to pull the plug. Now I have more incentive to suck up and upgrade. One of the main reason is that I get three years of online updates (updating transactions directly from Quicken). After reading the reviews of Quicken for the past three years I resisted upgrading. But I cannot find ANY software that I can install in the safety of my LOCAL DISK that can help me with both personal finance and investment management.Ĭoming to the upgrade, after 2012, I kept getting emails from Quicken for the past three years prodding me to upgrade, last year they even sent me a 50% discount coupon. Can the software be better? Absolutely! I have an long list of enhancement requests myself. Bottom line till today I do not see any piece of comprehensive software that can cover both personal finance and investment that is better than Quicken. I used Mint for a while for personal finance and bought an Investment Manager recommended by AAII of all people and that piece of software was a total waste of money. In the past I have done exhaustive research to find the right tool that is a single stop shop for both managing my personal finance and my investments. In 2011 fall October I got my first quicken 2012 premier.
I recommend the PC Disk as my experience in using it was smooth.ġ. MY REVIEW (in Amazon) as I upgraded today.įirst some background to alleviate any concerns on the legitimacy of my review.ĭisclaimer: I bought the PC disk version.
